Randy L. Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randy L. Smith, 66, born in Berwick on October 31, 1955, passed away peacefully in his home on December 7, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred R. and Marion (O'Dell) Smith. Randy will be dearly missed by his wife Melinda (Neitz) Smith, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years. He will also be missed by his eight children: Joleen Smith, Jehna Croak (Jeffrey), Justine Smith, Jalynn Smith, Jinese Lesher (Ryan), Jyllaine Singh (Devon), Jindee Raffensberger (Wilbur), and Jayce Smith, along with his 11 grandchildren. Randy graduated from Berwick High School in 1973. He attended Bloomsburg State College to receive a degree in Secondary Education, graduating in 1978. He joined the Airforce, completing basic training, but was medically discharged for a concussion injury. Randy worked for the P.A. Department of Insurance as I.T. Generalist 1, retiring after 22 years of service. After retirement, he worked part-time at Weis Pharmacy in Elizabethtown. Randy was an avid fan of the Chiefs, collected Science Fiction, and tinkered with computers. Randy enjoyed vacationing with his wife in the Poconos and Bridgeton, NJ. Along with his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Smith Traugh. The service will be a private event held at the convenience of the family.
