Mildred J. Goretzke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mildred J. Goretzke, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away in the home she was born in on Wednesday, March 01, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Martin) Wolgemuth. Mildred was the wife of Ronald W. Goretzke with whom she would have celebrated 61 years of marriage this coming March 17th. Mildred was a graduate of Messiah Academy and later Lancaster General Health Nursing School. She attended Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church. Mildred enjoyed sewing, quilting, bird watching, trips to the cabin and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband, Ronald, are two sons, W. Dwain Goretzke, husband of Theresa of Elizabethtown and Dennis R. Goretzke of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Lester Wolgemuth, husband of Madeline of Huntingdon; and a sister, Helen Stump of Upland, CA. A memorial service honoring Mildred's life will be held at the Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church, 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 3 PM. Family and friends will be received at the church following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church Benevolent Fund, 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
