June B. Johnson Farmer, 94, formerly of Mount Joy and Rheems, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Mennonite Home. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Burd) Patton. June was the wife of the late Robert Johnson who passed away August 22, 1995. She later married Harry Farmer, formerly of Florin. June and her husband Bob owned and operated Johnson Bus Service in Rheems. She was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church in Mount Joy as well as Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Brownie leader for many years. She was an excellent cook and baker. Children and grandchildren alike, looked forward to dining and snacking at grandma's house. June enjoyed gardening and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving in addition to her husband, Harry Farmer, are four children, Rita B. Chappel of Mount Joy, Walter Johnson, husband of Yvonne of Elizabethtown, Deborah Runkle of Lancaster and Jill Johnson, wife of Donald Grabski of Newville; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Mae Springer of Camp Hill, Nancy Kolva of Chambersburg and Carolyn Patton of Camp Hill; and two sisters in law, Romaine Patton of Halifax and Valera Golden, wife of Harry of Mount Joy. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Osman and LaRue Funk; and a brother, LeRoy Patton. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
