ELEANOR G. ESHLEMAN

Eleanor G Eshleman, 82, formerly of Mount Joy, PA passed away quietly on September 12, 2016 at Keystone Villa in Ephrata following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Eshleman, who passed in 2004. Together they shared 50 years of marriage. Eleanor was a graduate of the Columbia High School, class of 1952 and was a long standing member to the Mount Joy Church of God. During her career, she worked as an inspector for the former RCA (Burle Industries) for over 40 years until her retirement. Eleanor loved reading her daily devotions in her Bible, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and traveling with her late husband Charles. She and Charles were active volunteers in the Florin and Mount Joy communities and were well known for their support of the former Florin Fire Company Chicken Corn Soup sale. A great fan of Warwick Field Hockey, Eleanor loved talking about the game and shared many hours with her nephew, Warwick Field Hockey Coach, Bob Derr sharing thoughts about the game and especially,Warwick's team. Eleanor's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff, personnel and especially her caregivers at Keystone Villa Ephrata and Hospice for All Seasons of Grantville for their care and kindness shown to Eleanor during her illness. Born July 19, 1934 in Lancaster, she was daughter of the late George and Ethel Albert. Eleanor is survived by her son Gary A. (Sherril) Eshleman of Gaithersburg, MD, a granddaughter Camian and a grandson Camar and four great-grandchildren, (Deanndra, Deadre, Nikkahli, and Khadeadra) of Jamaica. Also surviving is a sister, Lois Albert Derr, Keystone Villa Ephrata, PA. She will forever be remembered in the loving hearts of her nieces and nephews, nephew, Robert L. (Kathy) Derr, Jr. of Lititz, and their children, Danielle (Jack) Van Natta of Colorado, Bree (John) Arvai of Saline MI, and R. Andrew (Melissa) Derr of Bainbridge, her niece Wanda (Richard) Jones of New Holland and their children, Benjamin (Gwen) Jones of Akron, and Mindy (Jason) Fulton of Ephrata and niece Kathleen Derr Francis and her children, Julia (Damian) Shaklee Sammons of Philadelphia Lesley (Andy) Lonergan, of Colorado, Ian (Cher) Francis of Utah, and nephew, Mitchell (Kathy) Albert of Colorado and their children, Megan and Courtney, nephew Scott (Maureen) Albert of Maytown and their children Clinton, Allison, Brett and niece Gwenda Smith and her children Cody, Amanda, also of Maytown. . She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard, George "Prince" (Vera) Albert and Ralph D. (Geri) Albert. Eleanor especially loved spending time with her great-great nephews and nieces and their families, who, always seemed to light up her heart with smiles and laughter. Recently, she participated in a "Red Nose Day" raising money to help lift children out of poverty with Gage and Mackenzie Van Natta; Johnny, Clare, Ella, and Jake Arvai; Marshall Derr; Chad, Paytyn, and Jocelynn Jones; Alex, Emma, Wyatt, Josh, Madison, and Alyssa Fulton; Elliott Sammons; Macrae, Meilyr, Nixie, and Neville Lonergan. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at the Camp Hill Cemetery, Terrace Avenue, Mount Joy, on Sunday October 9, 2016 at 2 PM with the Reverend Randall Bistline officiating.
