Richard A. Johnson, 90, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2018. He will be dearly missed by his wife Cameron C. (Catlin) Johnson. Born in Illinois, he was the son of the late Albert H. and Laura A. (Hansen) Johnson.
Formerly of Summit, NJ, Richard was employed by Interpace as an engineering salesman. During his career, he was also employed by the State of New Jersey as a civil engineer. Richard received his undergraduate degree from The Illinois Institute of Technology and later attended the University of Chicago. He was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Lancaster.
Richard is survived by his two children, Sarah Bomberger of Lancaster and Kate Walters wife of William Walters of Bethlehem. He is survived by his stepchildren, Wolf Boehme husband of Paige Boehme, of Reading, CT and Mark Macklin Boehme husband of Donna Boehme of Summit, NJ. Richard was a loving grandfather to his 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Violet L Fredburg Johnson, an infant son Andrew Johnson, his brothers Kenneth and Howard Johnson, and a sister Evelyn Harvey.
A Celebration of Life Service for Richard will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 700 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, on Saturday, March 2nd at 12 P.M. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Memorial Garden.
