Ned L. Stumpf, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, February 04, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Hummer) Stumpf. Ned was the husband of Margaret (Imler) Stumpf with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage this past September 13th.
Ned proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from PennDOT after 35 years of service as an Equipment Operator. After retirement, Ned worked for 20 years as a groundskeeper at the Wenger Group. Ned was a Cushman Scooter enthusiast. He belonged to the South East Cushman Club, Cushman Club of America, Vintage Motorbike Club and Antique Automobile Club of America. He was also a member of the Mount Joy Legion Post 185, the Old Farts Coffee Club and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #596, Elizabethtown. Ned enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Margaret, is a son, Tyler Stumpf, husband of Jennifer of Elizabethtown and two sisters, Connie Hoffman, wife of Al of San Diego, CA and Linda Groff, wife of Paul of Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hollinger, wife of Nelson.
A memorial service will be will be held at West Green Tree, 740 Greentree Road, Elizabethtown on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM. A light luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be private.
