Jean Marie Mummau completed life well lived on January 22, 2018, after a quick illness.
Born in Annville, Pa; she was 69. Her parents were Rev. Caleb and Erma Kreider. She graduated from Annville Cleona H.S. in 1966. Upon graduating she worked at a Manheim bank until marriage in 1968. From 1968 until her death, Jean and her husband Clair operated several businesses including newspaper routes, retail hardware and tire, property and ag.
She is a member of the Body of Christ and worshipped with Fellowship Baptist Church, Mount Joy.
Her life was filled with service to her Lord Jesus; her family and friends. She was a dedicated Bible student and teacher. Her hospitality was a blessing, as a hostess in her home to many missionary families as they traveled through Central Pa. She was a fantastic cook and blessed many friends and families with her delicious meals and desserts.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She and her husband, Clair, enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage. Her son’s, Kent (Karen) and Kevin (Stacy), lived close and were active in her life until the end.
She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Heidi; grandchildren (Kyle, Alisha, Corinne, Aaron, Clark, Kami, Ian & Reagan) and 5 siblings: Mary Ober (Ken) Towanda; Ruth Hoffer (Kervin), E-town; Elizabeth Heistand (Lester), E-town; Erma Bruckhart (Robert), Manheim; and Caleb Lee Kreider (Connie), Manheim.
Jean is missed by people all over the world who have been blessed by her teaching, financial support and hospitality.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest son Keith.
A Memorial Service will be held at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta on Friday January 26, 2018 at 1:00pm. Visitation and meal will follow. Interment will be private.
