Galen E. Perry, 74, of Mount Joy, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his residence. Born in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Evelyn (Porter) Perry. Galen was the loving husband of Sally L. Perry with whom he was married for 55 years.
Galen was retired from Alcoa after 47 years of service. He was an avid buyer and seller of antiques in years past and could be found at Shupp’s Grove with his wife. Galen restored furniture and also did picture framing.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sally, is a son, James R. Perry, husband of Jorena of Mountville; four grandchildren, Brittany Dyer, wife of Jesse of Maytown, Shane Perry, husband of Danielle of Manheim, Ben Shenandoah of Mountville and Jake Perry of Columbia; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Perry, husband of Ruthie of Willow Street and Barry Perry, husband of Pat of Millersville; and two sisters, Pat Weirick, wife of Rick of Lancaster and Barbara Detweiler, wife of Steven of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brianne Shenandoah; a great grandson, Camden Shenandoah; and a sister, Joyce Bowman.
Friends and family may gather at 309 Hill Street, Mountville on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 6 PM for a brief service and fellowship.
