Elizabeth M. "Betty" Boinet, II, 66, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Kerr) Boinet. Betty was the beloved wife of Richard M. "Ric" Miller.
Creative and artistic, Betty took inspiration from the beauty she found in nature, especially flowers and animals, to produce works of art in many and varied forms. At any given time there were multiple projects underway to adorn her home or to share with friends and family. She was a generous and warm person with a memorable and infectious laugh. For three years Betty was the proprietor of the Landisville flower shop Foliage and Flowers. For the past 35 years she was a partner in the Elizabethtown business Betty & Ric's.
Betty was preceded in death by three brothers John, Bruce, and Stephen Boinet. She is survived by her husband Ric, her two sisters Joan Braun, wife of William, of Cape May, NJ and Marie Shank, wife of George, of Philadelphia. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters- and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring Betty's life will be held at Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on January 26 at 1:00 pm. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on January 26 at 12:30 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 848 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue, PO Box 549, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
