Robert "Bob" LaJuett

[Lancaster, PA] — Robert H. LaJuett, age 60, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in the loving arms of his wife, daughters, and son-in-law. Born on January 1, 1966, Bob (Rob) was the beloved son of the late Robert E. and Virginia (Madigan) LaJuett. Rob was raised in Rush, NY, along with his two brothers and sister. In 1991, Bob married Sharon, the love of his life, in Deerfield, VA. They remained happily married for 34 years until his passing. Their two daughters, Elena and Andreea, filled their lives with joy. Bob pursued his passion in education and dedicated his professional life to teaching Technology Education for 37 years, retiring from Eastern York High School in 2026. He loved his work and enjoyed connecting with students and shaping young minds with patience, kindness, and humor. He influenced thousands of students’ lives over his career. Bob loved life. He was optimistic, compassionate, and sentimental about everything he did. He enjoyed bike riding, walking, gardening, beekeeping, cooking, woodworking, and traveling. He was a craftsman and savvy problem-solver. Bob devoted his life to his family and friends, his teaching, and his many hobbies. As a father, he was a constant source of guidance filled with love and laughs. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Brusic; two amazing daughters, Elena (Dean) Bernazzoli and Andreea LaJuett; devoted siblings Tom (Karen) LaJuett, Gerald (Candace) LaJuett, and Nancy LaJuett; and many cherished extended family members, lifelong friends, neighbors, and former students. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a fund to help pay for a memorial bench placed along a bike trail.
