Larry Lee White, known affectionately as Larry by his friends and family, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on April 17, 2024, in Port St. Lucie, FL, at the age of 88. Born on July 3, 1935, in Lancaster, PA, Larry's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, hard work, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived. Growing up in the heart of Lancaster, PA Larry was a proud graduate of Manheim Central High School, where he formed friendships and values that lasted a lifetime. After high school, he embarked on a career that began with him behind the wheel as a delivery driver, a job that taught him the importance of dedication and service. Larry's professional journey led him to a fulfilling career in sales, where he became a familiar and trusted face at Jones Pontiac/Honda in Lancaster. For 27 years, he committed himself to his work and the community, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues and customers alike. Larry's life was not solely defined by his professional achievements but also by the love and laughter he shared with his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce White. Together, they built a family that included his sons, Jere White of Mansfield, PA, married to Julie White, and Kevin White of Millsboro, DE, married to Nathalie White. Larry was also a proud stepfather to Cleon Berntheizel, happily married to Catherine Berntheizel of Port St. Lucie, FL, and to Anita Chaves of Charlotte, NC. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. Beyond his family, Larry found happiness in the great outdoors. In his retirement, he could often be found with a fishing rod in hand or perfecting his swing on the golf course. These activities were more than hobbies; they were the channels through which Larry connected with friends, nature, and the peaceful moments of life. Larry's character was marked by his unwavering integrity, his easy smile and his willingness to lend a hand. He was a man who valued the simple things-a good day's work, the company of family, and the beauty of a sunrise over the fairway. His presence was a comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. As we bid farewell to Larry, we celebrate a life that exemplified the virtues of kindness, commitment, and joy. He will be remembered not only for the success he achieved but for the warmth and generosity he extended to everyone he met. Larry's story is a beautiful tapestry of the moments shared, the laughter enjoyed, and the love that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. In honor of a life well-lived, Larry's family will gather in a private remembrance to share stories, tears, and laughter-just as he would have wanted. We take comfort in knowing that Larry's spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as the lighthouse guides the ships at sea. Larry Lee White's journey on earth has come to a gentle close, but the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he spread will forever remain. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Camp Hill Cemetery, Terrace Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552 at 11 AM.
