Joyce M White, a cherished wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on June 10, 2023, in Port St. Lucie, FL, at the age of 82. Born on November 17, 1940, in Hillsville, VA, Joyce lived a life marked by dedication to her family, a strong work ethic, and a love for life's simple pleasures. Joyce, known affectionately to those around her simply as Joyce, grew up in Manheim, PA where she completed her education at Manheim Central High School, where she established the foundation of lifelong learning and integrity. She carried these values throughout her career, most notably during her many years with Hartford Insurance in Lancaster, PA. Joyce's diligence and professionalism were hallmarks of her time at Hartford, earning her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Upon retirement, Joyce and her beloved husband, Larry White, left Pennsylvania's familiar landscapes for the sunny shores of Tequesta, FL. Even in retirement, Joyce's industrious spirit thrived as she took on a new role at a medical billing company in Jupiter, FL. Her colleagues there, as in every workplace she graced, were touched by her kindness and unwavering positivity. Joyce's life was enriched by her close-knit family. She was the loving wife of Larry White, and together they shared countless treasured moments. Her siblings, Carolyn, Annette, Jane, Joanne, and Frank, were a source of joy and support throughout her life. The bond she shared with her four sisters and brother was a testament to the family's deep-rooted love and unity. Beyond her professional and family life, Joyce had a passion for the simple joys that life offers. She was often found with her toes in the sand, lost in a good book on the beaches of Florida. Her love for the ocean was only matched by the pleasure she found in playing games on her iPad, where she could be as competitive and spirited as she was in all her endeavors. Joyce's presence was a gift to those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. She approached every day with a smile that could light up a room and a kindness that warmed hearts. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the quiet strength that she exemplified throughout her life. As we bid farewell to Joyce, we carry forward the memories of her unwavering spirit and the love she had for her family and friends. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of the moments she shared and the lives she touched. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Camp Hill Cemetery, Terrace Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552 at 11 AM.
