Georgia Ann Fitzpatrick

Georgia Ann Fitzpatrick, 70, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center after a long, relentless battle with C.O.P.D. She also fought with cancer for the past two and a half years, never once complaining. Born in Westbrook, Maine, Georgia was the daughter of the late Linwood and Leona (Meserve) Bailey. She was one of 11 children: Kevin, Gary, Jeffrey, Larry, Linda, Deborah, Phillip, Craig, Diane and Mike. Georgia was blessed with a loving family, including her brother and sister in-laws, Dennis and Tina, and Kevin and Brian Fitzpatrick as well as her cherished late mother-in-law, Pauline. She shared 10 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Vincent Fitzpatrick, whom she adored with all of her heart. They celebrated their 10th anniversary this past August 1st. Georgia absolutely adored, respected and loved Vinny with her whole heart. The love Vinny continually poured into Georgia was greatly appreciated by her children, as it was the unconditional love their mother had always deserved. She would light up when she spoke of times she and Vinny traveled, exploring many different states together. Georgia enjoyed many things in life, such as that first cup of coffee in the morning, especially with a loved one. She also enjoyed all holidays, Christmas being her favorite, at which time her natural desire to bless others was amplified. Oh, how she looked forward to discussing what she was planning for dinner that evening and always enjoyed knowing what others were planning to eat as well. She’d often say, “Don't forget to send a picture babe." In her free time, Georgia loved spending her evenings playing bingo, and had many troll dolls she would line up in front of her and rub their heads for luck. Georgia deeply loved and is survived by her children: Lisa Cote (partner Jay), Timothy Cote (partner Teah), Melody Cote (husband Jeff), Tammy Liberty (husband Howard), Sandra Tibbetts, Patricia Spencer (husband Richard), Marylou Gowing (husband Steve), and Sarah Emmons. Georgia was very proud to announce to everyone she could that she has 23 grandchildren: Jeffrey (her “#1”) and Ryan (Ry-Guy) York, Devin and Taylor Cote, Brooke Totman, Caleb Wilson, Tristan and Ashton Day, Christian, Jonathan, Jeremiah and Faith Liberty, Kaitlyn, Kayleigh and Kenny Tibbetts, Keisha (Maggie), Aleena (Bean Bean) and Ricki Spencer, Dalton (Beamie) and Dakota Foss, Madelynn Gowing, Mya Small, Xavier (Honey Ham) Blake. She also has 10 great-grandchildren. Additionally, Georgia had many nieces and nephews that she also loved as her own. Georgia was preceded in death by her baby daughter Pamela. A funeral service honoring Georgia’s life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552, on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will be private.
