Warren B. “Bernie” Heisey, 76, of Mount Joy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Warren W. and Kathryn (Rettew) Heisey. Bernie was the husband of Betty (Allison) Heisey with whom he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this coming February 19th.
Bernie was a graduate of Donegal High School class of 1959 and proudly served in the PA Army National Guard. He was a builder for the Electronic Test Equipment Company. Bernie owned and operated the Trucks and Stuff stand at Roots Market for 20 years before his retirement in 2008. He was a member of Cross Roads Church in Mount Joy and was past President of the Mount Joy Historical Society. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting various items.
A funeral service honoring Bernie’s life will be held at Cross Roads Church, 800 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
