Kenneth O. Teufel

April 22, 1922 ~ July 16, 2017 (age 95)

                Kenneth O. Teufel, 95, resident of Juniper Village, Mount Joy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born in Tipton, PA, he was the son of the late Otto J. and Elsie (Boese) Teufel. Ken was the husband of Myrtle (Witmer) Teufel with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage this past August.

                Ken served in WWII with the United States Army Air Corps. He was stationed in England and served as an Aircraft Mechanic. After discharge from the military service he took up studies in Industrial Engineering at Pittsburgh University. He pursued various segments of Industrial Engineering employment until his retirement at age 65. After his retirement he became self employed performing commercial land development. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was born into it living in the hills of Tipton, PA. Ken had a second residence in Milford, DE for 32 years. There he enjoyed crabbing, clamming and picnics with family.

                A Free and Accepted Master Mason, he was a member of Abraham C. Treichler Lodge No. 682, in Elizabethtown. He was also a member of the Mount Joy VFW Post 5752 and the Marietta American Legion Post 0466.

                Surviving in addition to his wife Myrtle, are two step-daughters, Constance “Connie” Lee Shireman, wife of John of Mount Joy and Nancy Jean Wagner, wife of Philip of Milford, DE; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

                He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

                Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Abraham C. Treichler Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, 588 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
