Dwain L. Faucett

March 19, 1939 ~ January 1, 2018 (age 78)

                Dwain L. Faucett, 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Campbelltown, OH, he was the son of the late Raymond and Harriet (Lilly) Faucett. Dwain was the husband of Martha E. (McFarland) Faucett with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage this past May 3rd.

                Dwain retired from RCA after 40 years of service. Dwain had an infectious sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Even in his last days he continued to joke with his doctors and nurses at hospice. Dwain enjoyed golfing and gardening, sharing his vegetables with many.

                Surviving in addition to his wife, Martha, are two children, Dwain L. “Lee” Faucett Jr. of Pine Grove and Barbara J. Wagner, wife of George of Mount Joy; three step-children, Jody L. Norton of Lancaster, William P. Norton, husband of Beth of Ephrata and Brian F. Norton, husband of Roxanne of Lititz; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six sisters, Margaret Buroker, wife of Malcolm, Esther Lang, Carolyn Harris, wife of Tillman, Janet Roark, Donna Walcott and Naomi Vance, wife of Joe; and a brother, Robert Faucett, husband of Betty.

                He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Joe and David Faucett.

                A memorial service honoring Dwain’s life will be held at Oregon Community United Methodist Church, 1214 Creek Road, Lititz on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the church following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Water Street Rescue Mission, PO Box 7267, Lancaster, PA 17604 or Smile Train,41 Madison Avenue 28th Floor New York, New York 10010.
