Anna Jane Crider, 95, of Manheim, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her residence. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma (Landis) Withers. Jane was the wife of the late Clarence W. Crider who passed away May 16, 1991.

After they became well established she went back to work and became a substitute teacher for Manheim Central School District, and eventually returned to Elizabethtown College to teach Reading and Study Skills. Jane was a member of Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maytown. Among those who knew her, she was well known for her cheerful and positive spirit, as well as for her loving devotion to family, often putting the needs and wants of her family members above her own. Jane will be dearly missed by many.
Jane is survived by two children, David S. Crider, husband of Jane of Omaha, NE and S. Rebecca Thomas, wife of Jonathan of Manheim. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
