Andrew Fenstermacher passed away unexpectedly January 30, 2018, at his home in Mount Joy.
Born July 9, 1949 in Millersburg, he was the son of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Daniels) Fenstermacher. Upon graduating from Millersburg High School and studying business at Harrisburg Area Community College, Andy worked in the food service industry, managing several restaurants. Subsequently, for more than 20 years he was employed by Ehrlich Pest Control and at the time of his death, was working at the Country Table Restaurant. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 185, the VFW Post 5752 both in Mount Joy, and the Germania Band Club in Manheim. Andy was a member of Bossler Mennonite Church in Elizabethtown.
Three things were vitally important to Andy: family, friends, and golf. He was the family historian; if anyone had questions about an ancestor, Andy had the answers, even if we weren’t sure he had all the details exactly right! An outgoing person who loved to be around people, he loved funny stories, especially the ones he told! He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney. Surviving are his daughter, Deanna Salvacruz and husband, Jontue, New Port Richey, Florida; brother, Jeffrey and wife Gale, Mechanicsburg; sister, Amy Katchko and husband James, New Freedom; granddaughters Giada and Angelise; nephews, nieces, and many good friends.
